Help with the Race for Emergency Shelter in Chile
Friends of Conservation is working with Un Techo para Chile (A Roof for Chile) to help build 40,000 emergency houses for those displaced by the massive earthquake on February 27th and the tsunami which followed. More than 500,000 homes were damaged or destroyed, first by the 8.8 quake, the 5th strongest recorded, and then by a tsunami that almost obliterated some coastal towns, lifting whole houses and carrying them inland, reducing others to piles of sticks.

You can help in this race to provide emergency shelter. Founded in 1997, Un Techo para Chile builds simple wooden houses for temporary refuge, with volunteers working along side families. 100% of your donation will be sent directly to A Roof for Chile to aid this effort.



FOC is established in the United States as a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization, and your charitable gift to assist FOC grassroots projects is tax deductible as provided by law.
