THE GOLDEN TRIANGLE ASIAN ELEPHANT FOUNDATION
Asian elephants are an honored part of Thailand's cultures.
Though still an integral element of the work force, too often in busy urban areas elephants are mistreated
and abused by mahouts (elephant handlers) trying to make a living on dangerous city streets.
GTAEF creates a safe haven for abused elephants and those that can no longer work
by taking them off the streets of Bangkok. By also providing training and employment
for their mahouts (elephant handlers), the mahouts gain viable skills that keep them
and their elephant from begging on the streets.
Your support will help provide food, lodging,
training, and a second chance for these elephants and their mahouts in Thailand.
